Qur’an Memorization Competition: “My Qur’an, the Light of My Life” The “My Qur’an, the Light of My Life” competition is one of the school’s most prominent and cherished annual events. It is a spiritual and educational initiative designed to: ● Nurture a love for the Holy Qur’an: Encouraging students at all grade levels to engage in its memorization. ● Strengthen values and character: Helping young learners connect with the teachings of the Qur’an so it becomes a guiding light in their daily lives and behavior. ● Promote healthy competition: Creating a motivating environment for fair and positive competition in memorization, Tajwīd, and recitation. What distinguishes our competition is its continuity and the success it has achieved over thirteen consecutive years. Throughout its past seasons, the competition has welcomed many participants from various institutions serving students with special needs, including schools, organizations, and centers. Competition Objectives 1. Excellence: Evaluating students’ memorization accuracy and ensuring proper Tajwīd and pronunciation. 2. Encouragement: Honoring outstanding participants with meaningful awards to inspire their peers. 3. Collaboration: Strengthening the role of families and educators in supporting students’ Qur’anic development.
